Time for an Umbrella that is Uniquely Yours !
You will finish this workshop will an accessory that is uniquely yours, when you finish making your very own custom umbrella. You get to choose the fabric and look that you want to display whether you are shielding from the sun or the rain. Students will get the benefit of years experience and knowlege from two instructors, Roxanne Carder and Tammy Moberg. The umbrella workshop focuses on building confidence while being guided through creating a custom umbrella with helpful tips and encouragement along the way.
An early interest in making her own clothes led Roxanne to a lifelong passion for sewing and a collection of material from around the world. A former student of the late heirloom sewing teacher, Martha Pullen, and Make it with Wool National Competitor, Roxanne is always challenging herself to learn new techniques and experiment. Her recent achievements include making her own round leather purses and custom shoes from vintage Japanese fabrics.
Tammy is a creative sewist and maker with over six years of experience in quilting, garment sewing, and embroidery. As a self-taught sewist, she enjoys breaking down techniques into clear, approachable steps and creating a supportive environment for learning and creating. She believes sewing should feel approachable, creative, and even a little fun along the way.
